Into the Ether

This body of work imagined the creative moment as a cloud like expression of energy within the body. When the works were generated in the flow state they were left unchanged. When no flow state occurred the resulting portions were resolved formally by cutting and reassembling. These works are grounded by a horizon line, terrestrial and fixed.
Small, jewel like works exploring movements and moments that informed the larger works in the show. Bound by exotic timber laminate they hover in front of the wall. These are flickerings in the mind and the titles reflect this.

10,000 Swarovski® crystals twinkle and flash as you pass by the colossal wall of shifting velvet. The curve of stars echo the architecture of the new build and speak of the Selwyn district's big open skies and a galaxy of ideas to explore.
